About the Event
Large language models such as GPT and its ever-increasing competitors are changing our lives and are expected to continue to change them at an increasing pace. The lecture will explain how language models work, what it means to "train" them, what it means to "fine-tune" them, what the cost of building and using them is, and what efforts are being made to optimize them and reduce the costs of using them.
Nir Ayalon worked as a professor of computer science at the Technion for 12 years, and also worked in research at Google and various companies. Today he lives with his family in Madrid, working on various projects in the field of artificial intelligence (deci.ai, owna.health) and also teaches at IE University in Madrid.
